Selected as Scottish Labour Parliamentary Candidiate

I am very honored to have been selected by members of the North East Fife Constituency Labour Party (CLP), as the Scottish Labour Parliamentary Candidate for North East Fife.

With Labour's policies to create a strong economic foundation, create jobs for young people, and cap gas and electricity bills until 2017, I believe that there is a real opportunity for me to make a significant challenge in North East Fife at the general election, and I am looking forward to the campaign.

North East Fife CLP Chairman, Willie Russell, said: "We are pleased to have an choice of prospective candidates, and I am delighted that we have selected Brian Thomson.  Brian has made a big impact since being elected as the first-ever Labour councillor in St Andrews, and he is firmly committed to standing up for North East Fife."

The photo shows me being congratulates by North East Fife CLP member Toby Sherwood after the hustings event at St Andrews Town Hall, watched by CLP Chairman Willie Russell.
